Teledyne Technologies (NYSE:TDY) launched its CheMSense Protect air monitor to detect chemical threat agents in under 20 seconds.

This new technology reduces identification times from the current commercial industry standard of several minutes.

"By cutting detection time to under 20 seconds, CheMSense Protect can deliver a crucial, potentially life-saving advantage to operators tasked with public safety missions," said Teledyne FLIR Defense Vice President of Detection Clint Wichert.

The company stated that customer deliveries for the mass spectrometry systems are scheduled to begin in Q3 2026.

The autonomous threat monitoring devices are designed and manufactured at corporate facilities located in West Lafayette, Indiana.

This product launch aligns with the broader institutional framework of delivering intelligent sensing solutions to global defense platforms.
