Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining (NYSE:SSMR) completed approximately 47,600 meters of its 50,000-meter infill drilling program, advancing its planned Sunshine Mine restart in late 2028.

The company completed 1,200 meters of underground development in the first half of 2026, followed by approximately 700 meters toward its 1,300-meter second-half target.

A new Jewell Shaft production hoist was commissioned in May, while upgrades to the Silver Summit Shaft began and are scheduled to continue into early 2028.

Legacy mill demolition is expected to finish by December 2026, preparing the site for processing facilities initially designed around approximately 1,000 tons per day.

Sunshine expects to complete its feasibility study in Q2 2027 before deciding on construction.

The planned processing facilities could accommodate up to approximately 2,000 tons daily if future resource assessments and operating plans support expansion.

In September, Sunshine expanded its Silver Valley mineral holdings by 60% to approximately 38,000 acres and announced a separate 45,000-meter exploration program.
