Provident Financial Holdings (NASDAQ:PROV) reported fourth-quarter 2026 net income of $2.18 million, or $0.35 per diluted share, up 34% from the prior-year period.

Net income also increased 61% from the previous quarter, while net interest margin rose to 3.21%, up eight basis points sequentially and 27 basis points year over year.

Provident Financial said lower funding costs and higher loan yields were the main factors supporting the improvement in net interest margin.

For fiscal 2026, net income increased 6% to $6.66 million and diluted earnings per share rose 11% to $1.03, while the efficiency ratio improved to 73%.

Total deposits increased 2% to $910.4 million, while loans held for investment declined 1% to $1.03 billion.

Provident Financial Holdings operates through Provident Savings Bank, providing deposit, lending and other financial services to individuals and businesses.

Non-performing assets represented 0.04% of total assets and the company recorded no charge-offs in either the June 2026 or June 2025 quarters, reflecting continued strength in credit quality.
