nVent Electric (NYSE:NVT) completed its acquisition of Maverick Power, a manufacturer of engineered power distribution and infrastructure solutions for data centers, for a purchase price of $1.75 billion, subject to customary adjustments.
The transaction also includes potential additional cash consideration of up to $550 million based on Maverick Power achieving specified performance metrics during 2027 and 2028.
The acquisition adds Maverick Power’s power distribution platform to nVent’s existing data center portfolio, expanding the company’s ability to provide new power architectures, system-level solutions and related services.
Maverick Power is headquartered in McKinney, Texas, and employs approximately 900 people across operations in Texas and Arizona.
The acquisition strengthens nVent’s position in the growing data center infrastructure market, particularly in areas requiring advanced electrical power distribution systems.
