Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) announced Phase 3 clinical results showing sustained skin clearance with ICOTYDE for plaque psoriasis.
The ICONIC-TOTAL study evaluated adults and adolescents with at least moderate scalp, genital, or hand and foot involvement.
Clinical trial data demonstrated that overall clear or almost clear skin rates rose to 70% by Week 112.
Complete site-specific clearance reached 60% for the scalp, 89% for genitals, and 63% for hands and feet.
Mean improvement in nail disease severity also increased from 33% at Week 16 to 71% at Week 112.
The company stated no new safety signals emerged during the trial comparing the once-daily medication against a placebo.
