Johnson & Johnson reports CARVYKTI five-year data

Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) reported five-year CARTITUDE-2 study results showing that 10 of 20 patients treated with CARVYKTI remained alive and progression-free without maintenance therapy after receiving a single infusion.
The Phase 2 cohort included patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who had received one to three previous lines of treatment, with results measured at a median follow-up period of 60.7 months.
At five years, the study reported a median progression-free survival of 60.5 months and a five-year overall survival rate of 69.2%, while three patients who underwent bone marrow testing for minimal residual disease were negative at the deepest level measured.
Johnson & Johnson develops healthcare products across pharmaceuticals, medical technology, and other healthcare sectors, including cancer treatments such as CARVYKTI, a CAR T-cell therapy.
The company said the CARTITUDE-2 findings add to ongoing clinical research evaluating CARVYKTI in multiple myeloma, while safety monitoring continues as additional data is collected.
