HUTCHMED (NASDAQ:HCM) finalized its licensing agreement with GSK (NYSE:GSK) for investigational cancer therapy HMPL-A830, following completion of customary closing conditions and antitrust regulatory reviews.

The agreement grants a GSK subsidiary exclusive development and commercialization rights worldwide, excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, where HUTCHMED retains its rights.

HUTCHMED expects to receive a $110 million upfront payment shortly and could earn another $1.185 billion through development, regulatory and commercial milestones.

The agreement's potential total value reaches $1.295 billion before royalties, although additional payments depend on achieving specified development and commercial objectives.

HMPL-A830 combines a KRAS inhibitor with an antibody targeting EGFR, aiming to deliver targeted therapy to tumors involving these cancer-associated signaling pathways.

The drug entered Phase Ia testing in September 2026 for patients with unresectable, advanced or metastatic solid tumors in China and the United States.

HUTCHMED will oversee global Phase I development, while GSK will manage later clinical trials and commercialization in its territory, with tiered sales royalties payable to HUTCHMED.
