
Circle agrees to acquire Tazapay, opening access to 100s of markets
- Circle Internet Group agreed to acquire Singapore-based B2B cross-border payments infrastructure company Tazapay to expand its global payments network.
- Tazapay brings more than $25 billion in annualized payment volume, over 60 banking and fintech partners, and payout coverage across more than 100 markets.
- Circle said the acquisition is intended to expand USDC-based payment infrastructure, subject to regulatory approvals and expected closing in 2027.
Circle Internet Group (NYSE:CRCL) agreed to acquire Singapore-based B2B cross-border payments infrastructure company Tazapay, expanding its USDC payment network with a platform processing more than $25 billion in annualized payment volume.
The acquisition is expected to close in 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, including approval from Singapore’s Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Tazapay provides payment infrastructure for payment service providers and financial institutions, with more than 60 banking and fintech partners, local payout rails across more than 100 markets, and approximately 60% of transaction volume already involving stablecoins.
Circle said Tazapay customers will continue to have access to existing services, APIs, pricing, and support without disruption after the transaction.
Circle issues USDC and develops financial technology infrastructure focused on digital payments, while Tazapay provides cross-border payment solutions across APAC and emerging markets.
