ChipMOS revenue climbs 28.7% to $231.8 million

ChipMOS (NASDAQ:IMOS) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of NT$7.38 billion (US$231.8 million), up 28.7% year over year and 6.5% sequentially.

Revenue increased from NT$5.74 billion a year earlier and NT$6.94 billion in Q1, while gross margin expanded to 18% from 6.6% and 13.8%, respectively.

Net profit attributable to shareholders reached NT$891.7 million (US$28 million), reversing a NT$533.1 million loss in the second quarter of 2025.

Basic ADS earnings reached US$0.80, while first-half free cash inflow was NT$735.9 million and cash and equivalents totaled NT$12.55 billion.

During the period under review, ChipMOS distributed NT$1.23 per common share on July 17 and US$0.760 per ADS on July 24 from its capital surplus.

July revenue subsequently reached NT$2.82 billion, up 43.6% year over year, which ChipMOS attributed partly to persistent AI-related demand and supply conditions.
