Byrna Technologies (NASDAQ:BYRN) reported fiscal third-quarter 2026 revenue of $15.3 million for the period ended August 31, down approximately 46% from the prior-year quarter.
The company attributed the decline to lower e-commerce sales and slower reorders from dealers and chain-store customers.
Byrna reported a net loss of $2.9 million, or $0.13 per diluted share, compared with net income of $2.2 million, or $0.09 per share, a year earlier.
Gross margin increased to 79% from 60%, including a one-time $2.3 million tariff refund, while adjusted gross margin excluding that benefit was approximately 65%.
Operating expenses rose 7% to $15.1 million and included $1.7 million of other one-time costs, while management said it expects sequential improvement toward fiscal year-end.
Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totaled $9.4 million at quarter-end, down from $15.5 million at the end of the prior fiscal year.
Byrna also completed its acquisition of HERO Defense Systems and outsourced ammunition production during the quarter as part of its broader operating changes.
