Brookfield agrees $2.8 billion Reliance deal

Brookfield (NYSE:BAM) agreed through its flagship private equity strategy to acquire 100% of Reliance Worldwide Corporation for US$3.38 per share in an all-cash transaction with an enterprise value of approximately US$2.8 billion.

The Reliance Worldwide Board of Directors unanimously recommended the proposal to shareholders, who will vote on the agreement following the announced transaction.

Brookfield said the transaction will be funded through its Brookfield Capital Partners strategy and affiliate Brookfield Business Corporation, with completion subject to shareholder, regulatory, and government approvals.

Brookfield expects the transaction to close in the first quarter of 2027 if required approvals are obtained, while Reliance Worldwide will continue operating its global plumbing and heating solutions business.

Reliance Worldwide manufactures plumbing and heating products and operates across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific markets.

The company is known for push-to-connect fittings and has expanded into related product categories, serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
