
BlackBerry Q2 revenue climbs 26% to $163.3 million

BlackBerry (NYSE:BB) reported second-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $163.3 million for the three months ended August 31, 2026, representing a 26% increase compared with the prior-year period.
The company reported improved profitability, with GAAP operating income rising to $33.6 million from $11.5 million a year earlier.
GAAP net income increased to $33.9 million from $13.3 million.
Operating cash flow reached $29.3 million, an increase of $25.9 million compared with the same quarter last year.
BlackBerry’s automotive software business continued to drive growth, with QNX revenue increasing 27% year over year to $80.3 million.
The company’s Secure Communications segment generated revenue of $60.9 million, up 2% year over year, although segment adjusted EBITDA declined 18% to $8.0 million.
BlackBerry also announced that Coretura, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Daimler Truck, selected Alloy Kore for its commercial vehicle software platform.
The design win is expected to add more than $100 million to BlackBerry QNX royalty backlog.
For fiscal 2027, BlackBerry expects revenue between $616 million and $636 million and adjusted EBITDA between $141 million and $158 million.
Third-quarter revenue guidance is between $143 million and $154 million.
