BeOne ZIIHERA trial shows survival improvement

BeOne Medicines (NASDAQ:ONC) reported Phase 3 HERIZON-GEA-01 trial results showing ZIIHERA (zanidatamab) plus chemotherapy produced a statistically significant improvement in overall survival compared with trastuzumab plus chemotherapy in first-line treatment of HER2-positive gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma.
The second interim analysis follows earlier results from the trial, which showed progression-free survival and overall survival benefits for the TEVIMBRA plus ZIIHERA and chemotherapy combination.
The HERIZON-GEA-01 trial randomized 914 patients across more than 30 countries, comparing ZIIHERA plus chemotherapy, ZIIHERA with TEVIMBRA and chemotherapy, and trastuzumab plus chemotherapy, with overall survival and progression-free survival as primary endpoints.
BeOne Medicines said the safety profile at the second interim analysis remained generally consistent with previous findings.
