Zcash (CRYPTO:ZEC) developers released Zakura Common, which can speed up private transaction creation.
The software can reduce creation times from over three seconds to under 200 milliseconds in some cases.
“Shielded wallets that use Zakura Common, and full nodes like Zakura itself, all benefit from these massive performance improvements,” Bowe wrote on X.
Zakura says mobile transaction creation is over 14 times faster, while desktop performance is over five times faster.
Hashing is over 21 times faster, while transaction checks are four to eight times faster, according to Zakura.
The tools do not require a Zcash network upgrade, allowing wallet developers to adopt the open-source libraries.
Zakura says the software supports its longer-term goal of handling more than 50,000 private transactions per second.
At the time of reporting, Zcash price was $829.38.
