  • Visa and Mesh have partnered to let users spend cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances across more than 175 million merchant locations.
  • The partnership targets payments across more than 200 countries and territories, connecting digital asset balances with Visa’s global acceptance network.
  • The integration aims to reduce friction between holding crypto and using it for everyday purchases, subject to participating wallets and supported assets.

Visa Inc (NYSE:V) and Mesh will let users spend crypto and stablecoin balances across more than 175 million merchant locations.

The partnership spans Visa’s network across more than 200 countries and territories, which processed US$14.2 trillion in fiscal 2025.

“Crypto never had a spending problem — it has a last-mile problem, and until now, closing it meant getting a separate card,” Mesh co-founder and chief executive Bam Azizi said in a statement.

The integration will let participating wallets offer in-store and online payments without users selling, transferring or preloading funds first.

Visa credentials will operate behind the scenes, allowing customers to tap at contactless terminals while merchants continue receiving standard payments.

Mesh will manage funding and conversion across supported crypto, stablecoin and fiat balances, while handling customer onboarding and identity checks.

The companies have yet to announce participating platforms, supported devices or initial availability dates, with rollout details still being finalised.

Following the announcement, Visa shares were up 0.08% at US$402.92.
