
Paolo Ardoino has been confirmed as a speaker at Bitcoin 2026, set to take place April 27–29 at The Venetian in Las Vegas.
Ardoino, chief executive of Tether and chief technology officer of Bitfinex, is expected to share insights on Bitcoin’s future as his companies expand across multiple sectors.
“At the 2025 Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas, Ardoino announced that Tether holds more than 100,000 Bitcoin as a company, alongside more than 50 tons of gold,”
Highlighting the firm’s growing balance sheet exposure.
Under Ardoino’s leadership, Tether has expanded beyond stablecoins into Bitcoin mining, renewable energy projects in Uruguay, and AI and telecommunications infrastructure.
The company has also developed an open-source Bitcoin mining operating system designed to scale from small home setups to large industrial deployments.
Tether is a majority backer of Twenty One Capital, a Bitcoin-native public firm led by Jack Mallers, further deepening its role in capital markets.
Bitcoin 2026 is expected to be one of the largest industry gatherings, bringing together investors, developers, policymakers, and institutions focused on the future of Bitcoin adoption.
