Strategy reported a net loss of US$4.2 billion for the second quarter of 2026 as the value of its Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) holdings fell during the period.
The result followed a profitable first quarter and reflected changes in Bitcoin prices under the company's accounting rules.
Strategy ended the quarter holding more than 700,000 Bitcoin, maintaining its position as the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder.
The company said it will continue raising capital and buying Bitcoin as part of its long-term treasury strategy.
Strategy has regularly issued shares and convertible debt to fund additional Bitcoin purchases since adopting its Bitcoin strategy in 2020.
The company's financial results remain closely tied to Bitcoin's market price because of the size of its cryptocurrency holdings.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $64,854.76.
