StarkWare launches Offmarket for private Polymarket trading
- StarkWare has launched Offmarket, a tool designed to let Polymarket users trade prediction markets more privately.
- The service aims to reduce the visibility of users’ trading activity and positions.
- The launch targets traders seeking greater privacy when placing bets on blockchain-based prediction markets.
StarkWare has opened OffMarket to the public, letting Polymarket users trade without publicly linking positions to existing accounts, according to an exclusive report by The Block.
The service uses zero-knowledge technology and Starknet’s shared privacy pool to separate trading activity from users’ main wallets.
“Zcash, which is huge today, was born out of conviction by me and others that privacy matters and people would come to value it — even if it took years,” StarkWare co-founder and CEO Eli Ben-Sasson said in a statement.
OffMarket deposits are currently capped at US$1,000 in USDC per account, with StarkWare planning adjustments based on demand and usage.
The service executes orders on Polymarket at the same prices and against the same buyers and sellers as ordinary trades.
Starknet’s shared privacy pool holds around US$1.5 million across 17,000 deposits, according to L2BEAT figures.
OffMarket is non-custodial, meaning users retain control of their keys, while compliance provider Financial Privacy Inc. manages a master viewing key for approved legal disclosures.
OffMarket adds a privacy layer to prediction-market trading, but transaction timing, size and wallet activity can still expose links between users and their positions.
