Ripple has added former Reserve Bank of India governor Raghuram Rajan to its Swell 2026 Institutional Summit.

Rajan is set to join the invitation-only event on October 27 in New York, ahead of the wider conference.

The summit will bring together banks, asset managers, payment firms and other financial institutions to discuss digital assets and financial infrastructure.

Ripple will combine Swell with its XRPL Apex developer conference for the first time, creating three stages for the event.

Organisers expect more than 1,500 attendees, 75 speakers and 50 sessions across the three-day programme.

Rajan currently teaches finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and co-leads a Federal Reserve task force on balance sheet policy.

Ripple has not disclosed Rajan’s session topic or format, and his participation does not indicate an endorsement of Ripple or its products.
