- Riot continues expanding its data-centre business alongside Bitcoin mining.
Riot Platforms (NASDAQ:RIOT) has fully repaid its $200 million Coinbase Credit facility.
The company completed the voluntary repayment on September 21, satisfying principal and accrued interest.
The facility was secured by Bitcoin (BTC), USDC and cash held through Coinbase custody.
Riot incurred no early termination fees or penalties when ending the facility.
The repayment also released Coinbase’s security interests over the pledged assets.
Riot has continued developing data-centre capacity alongside its Bitcoin mining operations.
Its Rockdale, Texas campus has a 20-year agreement covering 191 megawatts.
Following the announcement, Riot Platforms shares were down 2.02% at $22.54.
