  • Polygon has completed its acquisition of Coinme, adding regulated US payments infrastructure to its Open Money Stack.
  • The business covers 48 states through 37 money transmitter licences and 11 applicable exemptions.
  • Tazapay, Mesh, Toku and Kira are among the first customers adopting the payments platform.

Polygon Labs has completed its Coinme acquisition, giving Polygon Open Money Stack regulated US payments coverage across 48 states.

The payments business holds 37 state money transmitter licences, benefits from 11 applicable exemptions and is registered with FinCEN.

“Now Polygon has more of what it takes to support the whole payment: from the moment dollars enter the system to the moment someone receives money they can use,” said Polygon Labs in its announcement.

The acquisition connects traditional payment access with on-chain transfers, stablecoin conversion, accounts and global payouts through a single integration.

Tazapay, Mesh, Toku and Kira are among the first customers using the platform for cross-border payments, account funding, payroll and US dollar access.

Tazapay serves more than 1,000 enterprises and fintechs across over 30 countries, while Mesh connects more than 300 wallets, exchanges and financial services.

Toku operates in more than 100 countries, and Kira offers US banking and stablecoin services through automated account-opening and payment tools.

The acquisition expands Polygon’s regulated payments infrastructure, positioning Open Money Stack to connect stablecoins with conventional banking and cross-border payment systems.
