  • Kalshi became the US Open’s exclusive prediction market partner under a newly signed deal.
  • The agreement reportedly blocks rival prediction platforms from advertising at the tournament and on ESPN broadcasts.
  • The deal comes as Kalshi expands sports trading while facing legal challenges over its sports contracts.

Kalshi became the US Open’s exclusive prediction market partner under a deal with the U.S. Tennis Association.

The agreement took effect before the tournament’s main draw began, despite plans to consider such deals from 2027.

Front Office Sports reported that the deal was finalised after qualifying ended, citing two sources familiar with the agreement.

The reported deal prevents rival prediction platforms from advertising at the US Open and during ESPN broadcasts.

Financial terms were not disclosed, and Kalshi was not listed among the tournament’s official partners on Sunday.

Kalshi has expanded its sports business, with US$33.7 billion in trading volume recorded during August, according to The Block’s data.

The deal comes as Kalshi faces legal challenges over whether states can regulate its sports contracts under state gambling laws.
