How Shopify merchants can connect their stores to GLMall
GLMall has made its marketplace available to Shopify merchants through a dedicated sales channel app. Existing online stores can list their products on the platform without rebuilding their shop.
The integration gives connected merchants access to GLMall and GLBrain marketing features. Where checkout is handled in fiat currency, the listing carries a backlink to the merchant’s own Shopify store. Crypto payments are also supported, with checkout completed on GLMall.
The app is free to install. Merchants pay a 2% commission on orders generated through the GLMall sales channel, which is paid to GLMall monthly.
Merchants who prefer a visual guide can watch GLMall’s video walkthrough of the full installation. The written steps below cover the same process.
Installing the sales channel
Merchants can install the app directly from the GLMall Sales Channel listing in the Shopify App Store, or by searching for GLMall in the store. From the listing, they select Add App, then confirm by selecting Add sales channel.
That leads to the GLMall connection page, where the merchant signs in with their GLMall account email and password. Merchants without an account can create one at glmall.glbrain.com before beginning.
Installation is completed by choosing a plan and approving it on Shopify’s billing confirmation page. This is how commission charges are authorised. Once approved, the merchant lands on the GLMall Sales Channel dashboard.
What the dashboard shows
The dashboard presents four things: subscription plan details, product status, total commission owed on orders generated through GLMall, and recent activity.
- Products. The Products section in the left-hand menu lists all product listings, filterable by status (All, Published, Not Published or Not Listed). A search option helps merchants with large catalogues find specific products quickly.
- Commission. The Commission section lists all orders placed through GLMall and the commission generated on them. Each entry shows the order ID, order status, creation date, commission owed to GLMall and the total order value.
Settings
The Settings page maps GLMall attributes to their Shopify equivalents. Default mappings can be updated, and additional variants mapped against them.
GLMall Geo Selections defaults to the region in which the store already sells. The GLMall account email and password attached to the connection can also be updated from this page.
Spending limits
Shopify lets merchants set a spending limit on app charges as a safeguard. Active subscriptions can be found through the Shopify settings icon at the bottom left, then Billing, then View All under Subscriptions. Selecting the three-dot menu beside the subscription and choosing View spending limit shows the current limit and the option to set a new one.
The limit matters for sales. Once commission from GLMall orders exceeds it, the “buy on Shopify” link becomes inactive until the limit is raised. GLMall advises merchants to keep the limit at a reasonable level so that sales are not interrupted.
Removing the integration
The sales channel can be uninstalled from the three-dot menu at the top right of the app. Shopify asks the merchant to confirm that they understand the risks of removing the sales channel before the uninstall completes.
