  • A wallet linked to the Drift Protocol exploit reportedly moved $61.56 million in Ether through Tornado Cash.
  • The transactions involved 25,700 ETH, according to blockchain tracking data.
  • The transfers highlight continued efforts to move funds linked to a major decentralised finance exploit.

The Drift Protocol exploiter moved 25,700 Ether (ETH), worth $61.56 million, into Tornado Cash after two months of inactivity.

The transfers occurred over two hours, according to blockchain tracking platform Lookonchain, which monitors wallet activity and large cryptocurrency movements.

Lookonchain reported that the exploiter had stolen more than $270 million, linking the wallet activity to the earlier Drift Protocol attack.

Tornado Cash is a decentralised cryptocurrency privacy protocol that uses smart contracts and zero-knowledge proofs to obscure links between deposit and withdrawal addresses.

The wallet still held 81,864 ETH, valued at approximately $195 million, following the reported deposits.

The remaining holdings indicate that the wallet linked to the exploit retained a substantial amount of Ether after the latest transfers.

The transactions highlight the challenges of tracing and recovering stolen cryptocurrency when funds move through privacy-focused protocols.

The reported transfers concern funds linked to the Drift Protocol exploit, while the wallet attribution and theft allegations remain based on blockchain tracking reports.
