Drift has opened claims and redemptions for DFX, its recovery token for verified losses from the April incident.

DFX is issued at one token for each verified USDT lost, with total supply fixed at 299,500,810.998 DFX.

The recovery pool held about 3.1 million USDT when claims opened, with daily funding linked to protocol revenue.

Tether has committed up to 127.5 million USDT, while strategic partners have committed up to 20 million USDT.

Drift will also direct recovered stolen funds into the pool, including funds secured through freezes, bounties or law enforcement.

DFX holders can redeem tokens for USDT, sell them on secondary markets or retain them as recovery claims.

The recovery system is designed to distribute future pool funding among verified claims through DFX redemptions.

The claim window closes on January 1, 2028, after which all unclaimed DFX will be permanently burned.
