Coinbase Global Inc (NASDAQ:COIN) has launched fixed-rate, fixed-term Bitcoin (BTC) lending products through decentralised protocol Morpho (MORPHO), according to an exclusive report by The Block.
The expansion adds structured credit term choices alongside existing variable-rate lending pools operating on Base.
“Coinbase Borrow gives our customers access to liquidity without having to sell their assets, and fixed-rate borrowing gives them even greater choice over how they manage that credit,” Yield and Investments Product Lead Jacob Frantz said in a statement.
Borrowers lock predetermined interest rates alongside explicit repayment maturity dates aligned with the last Friday monthly.
Wider Morpho network deployments surged to $5.2 billion in outstanding loans and $16 billion in deposits.
Coinbase manages front-end application interface design while underlying credit settlements complete directly on the Base protocol.
The fixed-rate credit framework lays operational foundations for future loans backed by tokenised real-world financial assets.
Following the announcement, Coinbase Global Inc (NASDAQ:COIN) shares were up 0.01% at $201.07.
