Blockchain.com has launched crypto options trading for eligible users, expanding its app with contracts tied to cryptocurrency prices.
The product lets users take positions on price direction and timing without trading on margin, with trades funded upfront in USDC.
“We've designed the Blockchain.com options experience around the decisions that matter: where traders think the market is going, when they think it will get there, and how much they are prepared to put behind that view,” according to Taro Ugen, Vice President of Consumer at Blockchain.com.
At launch, eligible users can buy call and put options linked to Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL), Hyperliquid (HYPE), Avalanche (AVAX), XRP and TRON (TRX).
Users choose an expiry date and target price, enter their trade amount, and review the order before confirming, while the platform structures the corresponding option.
Options initially have expiry periods of up to one week and must remain open until settlement, with access limited to supported jurisdictions and applicable regulatory requirements.
The launch follows Blockchain.com’s introduction of perpetual futures earlier this year and adds another derivatives product to its consumer trading service.
