The price remains about 2.5% below US$82,538, which capped a previous breakout attempt.
The 2026 Jackson Hole symposium runs from August 27 to 29 under a financial innovation theme.
Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh is scheduled to deliver his first keynote as chair on August 28.
Bitcoin's August rally followed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's announcement of expanded Treasury bond buybacks, according to Decrypt.
Bitcoin rose 23.6% in one week, moving from about US$62,000 to nearly US$80,000.
Its Relative Strength Index stood at 82.4, while the price remained above its 50-day and 200-day averages.
