  • Bernstein expects Bitcoin to reach $125,000 by the end of 2026.
  • The firm sees Bitcoin reaching $150,000 by mid-2027 under its base case.
  • A stronger scenario could push Bitcoin to $200,000 by mid-2027.

Bernstein expects Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) to reach about $125,000 by year-end 2026 and $150,000 by mid-2027.

The firm expects Bitcoin to follow its four-year market cycle, with a potential peak near $300,000 in 2029.

“Rising yields create a self-reinforcing cycle of higher interest expenses, larger fiscal deficits, and increased borrowing needs,” said Bernstein analysts led by Gautam Chhugani.

Bernstein also outlined a stronger scenario where Bitcoin could reach $200,000 by mid-2027 and $500,000 in 2029.

The analysts cited institutional ownership, US spot Bitcoin ETFs and Bitcoin’s limited supply as factors supporting their forecast.

Bernstein said about 59% of Bitcoin’s supply had not moved during the previous 12 months, suggesting many holders remained inactive.

Bernstein also cut its Strategy price target from $450 to $350, citing its revised Bitcoin cycle model and faster share dilution.

At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $78,929.13.
