Yugo Metals (ASX:YUG) announced the immediate appointment of Petar Tomašević as CEO on a permanent basis.
Transitioning from his previous dual roles as executive director and interim CEO, Tomašević brings over a decade of international expertise in mineral asset acquisition, financial strategy, and project development to the helm of the burgeoning resources firm.
Under Tomašević's interim guidance, the company secured the critical Petrovo licence and initiated an ambitious drilling programme at the Sinjakovo Project.
Beyond his corporate acumen as Managing Director of Vert Capital and former Director at Fenix Resources, Tomašević offers a unique cultural advantage.
As a Montenegrin national fluent in five languages, including Serbian, his deep-rooted understanding of the regional operating environment is viewed as a strategic asset for the company’s Balkan interests.
“During Petar's time as interim CEO, he successfully led the company through several important milestones,” noted Non-Executive Chairman David Wheeler.
“We are delighted to have him commit to the position permanently as we look to accelerate value for our shareholders.”
Tomašević, who also holds directorships at American Uranium and Regenerate Resources, maintains a profile that extends beyond the boardroom.
