Key points

  • Independent testing confirmed that Chipforge takes written design requirements through to working FPGA hardware without assistance or manual code edits.
  • Following the announcement, Pathkey.AI's share price traded down 6.25% to $0.015.
  • The company is advancing Chipforge towards a broader product release, Chipforge Studio, targeted for Q1 2027.

Pathkey.AI (ASX:PKY) confirmed that an independent expert successfully used its Chipforge platform to convert written design requirements into working FPGA hardware without assistance or manual code edits.

The validation marks a significant operational milestone compared to traditional custom hardware development, which normally requires multiple specialist steps, tools, and teams.

The company highlighted that internal platform testing on NVIDIA's public CVDP benchmark scored 14 to 28 percentage points higher than published results for GPT-5, Claude 4 Sonnet, and the MAGE research agent on the same tasks.

Pathkey Group CEO Andrew Farnsworth said, “Through direct prompting, the platform guided the expert through planning and specification, then code development and the verification cycle, including creating the test benches and running the simulations.”

Chipforge currently operates in pre-production release while delivering supported projects, and workflows for AMD Vivado and Altera Quartus have been completed to offer flexible tool chains.

Following the announcement, the Pathkey.AI share price was down at $0.015.

Pathkey.AI operates as an artificial intelligence technology company focused on streamlining software and hardware design workflows.

The business previously raised $2.8 million through a private placement in August to support its artificial intelligence product development initiatives.
