Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) has launched its 2026 exploration season at the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project, situated within Western Australia's prolific Yandal Greenstone Belt.

The company announced that its newly established 21-person exploration camp and core yard are now fully operational, supported by a 65-kilolitre diesel storage facility to sustain high-intensity drilling operations.

A major heritage survey is also slated to commence this week, clearing the path for an ambitious field program.

The centrepiece of the company's strategy for the June quarter involves approximately 30,000m of drilling across several key targets, including Arrakis, Flushing Meadows, and the New England Granite area.

The comprehensive campaign will utilise a combination of reverse circulation, diamond, and air-core drilling.

RC drilling is underway at the Salusa prospect to follow up on high-grade intercepts identified last year, with the rig scheduled to mobilise next to Arrakis to test a 1.2-kilometre mineralised structure.

Concurrently, diamond drilling has started at the large-scale Nayla target, a venture co-funded by the Western Australian Government’s exploration incentive scheme.

Once complete, the diamond rig will move to Flushing Meadows to evaluate mineralisation continuity within fresh rock beneath the existing 268,000-ounce mineral resource estimate.

Broad-scale air-core drilling will target structural anomalies at the NEG and Giedi-Prime areas.

Managing Director Chris Oorschot and the board remain focused on unlocking new discoveries to expand the company's footprint in the region.

At the time of reporting, Yandal Resources' share price was $0.20.
