Volt Resources secures US$5.4M grant for graphite production

• Volt Resources' wholly-owned subsidiary Volt Energy Materials received US$5.4 million from the US Department of War.

• Funding supports development at the Volt Tech Centre and a US-based graphite refinery over 24 months.

Volt Resources (ASX:VRC) received a US$5.4 million non-dilutive funding award from the US Department of War to accelerate domestic graphite production.

The government grant requires a 0% cost share from Volt Resources and will be paid in equal instalments across a 24-month period.

“This funding marks a pivotal strategic milestone for Volt, directly supporting our US growth initiatives while fully preserving shareholder equity,” said Volt Resources Executive Chairman Asimwe Kabunga.

The transaction specifically funds development at the Volt Tech Centre and advances domestic refining of high-purity and ultra-high-purity graphite alongside project leader Dr Prashant Chintawar and US academic institutions.

Following the announcement the Volt Resources share price was unchanged at $0.005.

The graphite developer focuses on producing battery-grade material to support electric vehicle production and energy storage supply chains.

Volt Resources operates critical mineral projects across multiple global jurisdictions to supply downstream technology markets.
