Key points

  • Vita Resources applied for regulatory consent to restart field exploration at its ICE Project in 2027.
  • Shares were unchanged as the company progresses through preliminary environmental and First Nations approval stages.
  • The company plans to leverage existing geological data to prepare for a multi-million-dollar drilling effort.

Vita Resources (ASX:VTA) submitted an application to the Ross River Dena Council to resume exploration activities at its ICE project during the 2027 field season.

The latest regulatory filing follows two previous approvals, including a positive recommendation from YESAB and a five-year exploration permit from the Yukon Government.

"More than 10,000m of diamond drilling has been undertaken at ICE. A similar programme today, in such a remote location, would require a multi-million-dollar investment, meaning it’s essential to support future drilling with the best geological, geophysical and geochemical information available," said Vita Resources Chairman Gavin Rutherford.

Past exploration at the remote site includes more than 10,000m of diamond drilling, which the company stated would require multi-million-dollar investments to replicate.

Following the announcement, the Vita Resources share price was unchanged at $0.018.

The ICE Project contains potential mineralisation across multiple commodities, including copper, gold, cobalt, silver, and indium.

The company stated that future field campaigns remain subject to obtaining formal consent from the Ross River Dena Council and securing adequate funding.
