Valiant Gold (ASX:VAL) ordered essential underground electrical, ventilation, and pumping equipment to accelerate restart activities at its 100%-owned Comet Gold Mine in Western Australia.

The company brought forward these key infrastructure and procurement workstreams following successful underground re-entry in July.

"Completion of the Comet Restart Study, targeted for Q2 FY27, will provide the basis for announcing the preliminary restart mining schedule and key milestones towards the recommencement of operations," said Valiant Gold Managing Director & CEO Brendan Tritton.

The company awarded site power station and initial 30-room camp contracts scheduled for Q2 FY27 delivery while launching an underground drilling tender for grade control and resource definition.

The business stated that completing its detailed mine planning and pricing study in Q2 FY27 will form the basis for its preliminary mining schedule.

Following the announcement, the Valiant Gold share price was unchanged at $0.24.

The company conducts gold exploration and development across key mineral regions in Western Australia.
