Tivan (ASX:TVN) announced the appointment of Robert Gerrard as COO, effective April 20.
Gerrard brings over 18 years of executive experience in the Australian resources and energy sectors, having previously held the role of Senior Director, Energy and Resources at Kellogg Brown & Root.
His portfolio includes leading major developments such as the Carrapateena Copper-Gold Mine and the Pluto, Ichthys, and Gorgon LNG Projects.
At Tivan, Gerrard will be tasked with overseeing the build-out of project execution capabilities and operational readiness planning, ensuring the seamless transition of delivery projects into full-scale operations.
This high-level recruitment coincides with Tivan’s rapid advancement of its flagship Speewah Fluorite Project in Western Australia, which was recently recognised on a joint fact sheet by the Japanese and United States governments.
As the company progresses through its definitive feasibility study, aiming for a final investment decision in Q4 of this year, Gerrard’s expertise in EPC and EPCM delivery models is expected to be pivotal.
Beyond Speewah, Tivan is fast-tracking a scoping study for the Molyhil Tungsten Project and advancing works at the Sandover Fluorite Project and various copper-gold exploration sites in Timor-Leste.
At the time of reporting, Tivan's share price was $0.34.
