Telstra (ASX:TLS) experienced a nationwide mobile network outage that disrupted mobile calls and data services for thousands of customers from approximately 3:00 am on July 8.
The service disruption occurred across all mainland state capitals and also impacted Telstra-owned and wholesale providers, including Belong, Aldi Mobile, and Superloop.
"We are looking into an issue affecting some mobile calls and data connections," the company stated on its website.
The company advised affected users to retry their connections while technical teams investigated the precise cause of the network failure.
Following the announcement, the Telstra share price was unchanged at $3.84.
The service failure follows ongoing industry efforts to improve network resilience after past major telecommunications outages across the Australian market.
