Super Retail Group targets 900 stores by 2031
Super Retail Group (ASX:SUL) has unveiled a five-year strategy to expand its store network from 790 to more than 900 locations by 2031, aiming to capture a larger share of Australia's estimated $65 billion addressable market.
Speaking at the company’s investor day, management outlined plans to drive growth across its Supercheap Auto, Rebel, BCF, and Macpac brands through aggressive store expansion, new formats, increased online penetration, and product diversification.
To support the growth, the retail giant will invest approximately $30 million annually over the next three years into its 'Ignite' transformation programme—an initiative projected to deliver $75 million in annual cost savings by the 2028–29 financial year.
The company confirmed that capital expenditure for the expansion will be comfortably maintained within its existing $150 million annual budget.
