Sunshine Metals (ASX:SHN) announced that refurbishment works at its Mt Moss processing facility in northern Queensland remain on track for commissioning in mid-2027.

The progress follows ongoing detailed design reviews and site earthworks after the initial acquisition of the asset.

"Mt Moss has been a hive of activity since acquisition," said Sunshine Metals Managing Director Dr Damien Keys.

The company stated that site construction is expected to commence between October and November once final contracts and designs are completed.

Following the announcement, the Sunshine Metals share price was up at $0.043.

The broader operational programme includes the re-establishment of a 30-room camp alongside key upgrades to water pumps and mill equipment.

These engineering activities form part of the company's flagship focus on gold and base metal targets in Queensland's Ravenswood district.
