Sunshine Metals (ASX:SHN) has commenced a 4,528-metre reverse circulation drilling programme at the Sybil Epithermal Gold Project, targeting multiple vein systems.

The current campaign follows earlier target generation efforts, including rock chip samples reaching up to 28.1 grammes per tonne of gold at the Francis Creek East prospect.

"It's great to see the drill rig running again at Sybil," said Sunshine Managing Director Dr Damien Keys.

The drilling programme targets three specific areas, including Francis Creek, Francis Creek East, and Blue Range, with completion expected by September.

The company stated that the ongoing exploration aims to test extensions to known mineralisation and follow up on previous high-grade intersections of 4.4m at 57.51 grammes per tonne of gold.

Following the announcement, the Sunshine share price was up at $0.031.

The Sybil project forms part of the broader Ravenswood Consolidated Project portfolio located in northeast Queensland.

Sunshine has recently advanced several other corporate initiatives, including a resource upgrade at Liontown and the acquisition of the Mt Moss processing facility.
