Rubicon Water selected for $12M Moroccan project

• Moroccan agency ORMVAT selected a joint venture incorporating Rubicon Water Solutions for an irrigation project.
• The selection covers approximately $12 million worth of company technology and hardware.
• The deal aims to support canal regulation across 69,600 hectares of agricultural land.

Rubicon Water (ASX:RWL) announced its joint venture was selected by Moroccan agency ORMVAT for a major irrigation project.

The selection follows administrative, technical, and financial assessments on Morocco's official public procurement portal.

Rubicon CEO Bruce Rodgerson said, "Following a rigorous administrative, technical and financial assessment process, this selection is an important endorsement of Rubicon's technology and our partners' capability to deliver major irrigation modernisation projects."

The project will move to formal contract execution after a statutory 15-day appeal period under Moroccan tender law.

The deal incorporates approximately $12 million of company solutions to modernise the main canals of the 69,600-hectare Béni Moussa perimeter.

The company stated that the project is expected to create an important reference for future market opportunities across Morocco and North Africa.

Following the announcement, the Rubicon Water share price was up at $0.32.

Within the targeted perimeter, workers are currently converting roughly 27,000 hectares from traditional gravity irrigation to pressurised drip systems.

The company's Total Channel Control technology will provide automated water delivery control throughout the main canal network.
