Red Hill Minerals starts drilling program at Broken Hill Project
- Red Hill Minerals has started a 1,700-metre diamond drilling programme at its Broken Hill Project in New South Wales.
- The company will drill a 700-metre hole at Furiosa and a 1,000-metre follow-up hole at Dementus.
- Exploration aims to test new copper-gold fault targets and expand on prior lead-zinc-silver discoveries.
Red Hill Minerals (ASX:RHI) has commenced a 1,700-metre diamond drilling programme across two key targets at its Broken Hill Project in New South Wales.
The new programme contrasts with the company's maiden 3,734-metre greenfields drilling campaign completed in 2025, which laid the groundwork for these refined structural targets.
"Furiosa is an exciting, previously untested copper-gold target where we will test for mineralisation along a highly prospective fault structure," said Red Hill Minerals CEO Michael Wall.
The planned programme includes a 700-metre hole to test the new Furiosa copper-gold target alongside a 1,000-metre hole following up on a 250-metre mineralised interval at Dementus.
Red Hill stated that the drilling phase is expected to be completed in late November.
Following the announcement, the share price of Red Hill stood at $4.08.
The 860-square-kilometre project area sits roughly 30km northwest of Broken Hill and forms part of the Curnamona joint venture.
Recent high-resolution gravity and audio-magnetotelluric surveys were used by the company to sharpen its structural interpretations prior to launching this current campaign.
