  • Pursuit Minerals secured key environmental approvals from Salta authorities to relocate its lithium pilot plant to the Rio Grande Sur Project.
  • The share price fell by 3.45% following the announcement.
  • The approvals support the company's plans to advance site infrastructure alongside lithium exploration drilling.

Pursuit Minerals (ASX:PUR) received regulatory environmental approvals to relocate pilot plant infrastructure and commence advanced drilling at its Rio Grande Sur Lithium Project in Argentina.

The permit approvals mark a progression from previous exploration phases towards building initial on-site processing facilities.

“Our intention is to produce lithium carbonate and lithium chloride at the site, with the pilot plant providing an important bridge between our successful pilot programme and the planned 5,000tpa operation," said Pursuit Minerals CEO Aaron Revelle.

The granted permits cover eight 100-metre by 100-metre pilot ponds, an 812-square-metre storage facility, transport for 76 equipment items, and a 500-metre diamond drill hole.

The company submitted an application for a commercial-scale evaporation pond system to support planned future production of 5,000 tonnes per annum.

Following the announcement, the Pursuit Minerals share price was down at $0.084.

Pursuit Minerals operates as an Australian mineral exploration business focused on lithium brine resource development in Salta Province, Argentina.

The company recently completed drilling at its Mito property to a depth of approximately 560 metres prior to expanding exploration across its adjacent mining tenements.
