  • Pioneer Minerals has launched on-ground exploration activities at its San Francisco Gold-Copper-Silver Project in Argentina.
  • Following the announcement, the company's share price was down at $0.19.
  • The field programme aims to inform 3D geological interpretations and evaluate potential geophysical surveys for future exploration targeting.

Pioneer Minerals (ASX:PMM) has commenced on-ground exploration activities at its San Francisco Gold-Copper-Silver Project in San Juan Province, Argentina.

The field programme follows an initial reconnaissance visit completed by the in-country technical team Andes Exploration.

The initial work included inspecting historical drill cores, which confirmed high-grade intercepts such as 109m at 4.94 g/t gold, 109 g/t silver, and 1.13% copper.

Pioneer Minerals' CEO, Michael Beven, commented, “Our in-country team has now inspected the known breccia outcrops and historical workings, confirmed access to the principal breccia area and verified that historical drill core is available in good condition for detailed review.”

An expanded field team is scheduled to return to the site next week to assess priority targets and conduct systematic relogging.

Following the announcement, the Pioneer Minerals share price was down at $0.19.

The exploration programme targets potential extensions of mineralisation at depth within the San Francisco de los Andes breccia pipe.

Pioneer Minerals stated that these site activities will establish a practical foundation for a more comprehensive field campaign.
