Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM) said the Wallbrook Gold Project is entering a pivotal phase of development as a substantial reverse circulation drilling programme commences.

The initiative, aimed at driving resource growth, follows 18 months of intensive systematic exploration.

The programme involves approximately 22,000m of drilling across four key areas, reflecting a rigorous commitment to expanding the project’s mineral resource inventory.

The primary focus of this campaign is centred on three advanced resource definition prospects: Clement, Payns, and Branches.

The targets were identified through detailed preliminary drilling and are now poised for comprehensive evaluation.

Additionally, the programme will test extension opportunities at the Crusader-Templar prospect, which currently holds a combined mineral resource estimate of 304,000 ounces of gold.

By exploring the extensions, the project aims to bolster its existing gold reserves and enhance the overall value of the asset.

To ensure the highest standards of reporting and technical integrity, an independent competent person has been engaged to oversee the data.

The expert will work towards an updated project-wide mineral resource estimate, expected for release later in 2026.

At the time of reporting, Nexus Minerals’ share price was $0.048.
