New Zealand King Salmon lifts earnings target to $39M
- New Zealand King Salmon Investments upgraded its FY26 pro-forma EBITDA guidance to a range of NZ$36 million to NZ$39 million.
- Following the announcement, the New Zealand King Salmon share price was up at $0.18.
- The revised projection is driven by stronger fish performance and lower-than-expected mortality rates.
New Zealand King Salmon (ASX:NZK) raised its full-year earnings forecast as improving operational efficiencies boosted financial expectations.
The updated pro-forma EBITDA range of NZ$36 million to NZ$39 million compares to the board's prior forecast of NZ$30 million to NZ$34 million.
"Our ongoing focus on fish performance continues to have a positive flow on impact to our earnings, with mortality levels continuing to come in below expectations and ongoing fish performance upside," said New Zealand King Salmon CEO Carl Carrington.
The company stated that FY26 harvest volume expectations remain steady at 5,950 metric tonnes to 6,050 metric tonnes, while supply chain cost pressures, including feed and wellboat expenses, are expected to be realised in FY27.
Following the announcement, the New Zealand King Salmon share price was up at $0.18.
The business is continuing to invest in growth initiatives to support its target harvest volumes for FY27 and FY28.
The company expects to provide its official FY27 financial guidance in November alongside its FY26 annual results announcement.
