This campaign represents the first modern, systematic exploration of the central Queensland copper system.
Historical reports indicate the site previously produced approximately 100,000 tonnes of ore averaging 17% copper.
The company stated the drilling is designed to validate selected historical intercepts and test mineralisation continuity.
Following the announcement, the Moonlight Resources share price was unchanged at $0.12.
Management advanced the copper site following an exploration data review and activity at Clermont Gold.
