Metro Mining (ASX:MMI) updated its 2026 bauxite shipment guidance to a range of 6.0 to 6.5 million wet metric tonnes following below-plan performance in September.
The revised target contrasts with prior expectations and accounts for recent operational constraints alongside the progress of ongoing mitigation initiatives.
The company stated that the adjustment reflects careful consideration of performance constraints and weather assumptions across the value chain.
The scheduled channel maintenance bed-levelling campaign commenced in October, with approved depths expected to support production upside within days.
Following the announcement, the Metro Mining share price was unchanged at $0.058.
The business has invested in resilience and risk mitigation over the last three years, including additional stockpiles and conveyor modifications.
