Mayfield Childcare lowers FY26 earnings guidance to $2.7M
- Mayfield Childcare issued revised FY26 earnings guidance, expecting an underlying Group EBITDA of $2.4 million to $2.7 million following a completed head office restructuring.
- Following the announcement, the company share price was unchanged at $0.13.
- The lower outlook principally reflects lower centre occupancy, delayed network-wide fee increases, and one-off restructuring and takeover-related expenses.
Mayfield Childcare (ASX:MFD) issued revised FY26 earnings guidance targeting an underlying group EBITDA of $2.4 million to $2.7 million after completing a head office restructuring.
The updated forecast is lower than the previous FY26 guidance of $4.7 million to $5.3 million announced on Feb. 27, which was withdrawn on July 10 amid challenging trading conditions.
The earnings guidance incorporates approximately $0.4 million of one-off restricting and takeover-related costs, without which the underlying group EBITDA would be $2.8 million to $3.1 million.
Mayfield stated that the completed restructuring is expected to deliver $1.5 million in annualised savings, with full monthly cost reductions achieved starting November.
Following the announcement, the Mayfield Childcare share price was unchanged at $0.13.
The revised earnings figures reflect a 2.6 percentage point drop in average group occupancy following a decline in new enquiries earlier in the year that caused an estimated $1.7 million impact.
Delayed fee increases across the early childhood education provider's network contributed a further $0.6 million negative impact relative to the original full-year forecast.
