Neuren Pharmaceuticals (ASX:NEU) upgraded its full-year 2026 financial guidance after partner Acadia Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ACAD) reported a 39% surge in third-quarter DAYBUE net sales to US$140 million.
The revenue increase compares favourably to the previous year, as Acadia raised its full-year global net sales guidance for the drug to US$505-$520 million from US$480-$510 million.
"Q3 sales growth was driven by strong uptake of DAYBUE STIX by existing patients as well as new patient starts and patient restarts," stated the financial update from Neuren Pharmaceuticals.
The company earned a US$35 million milestone payment following the commercial launch of the treatment in Germany in October.
Following the announcement, the Neuren Pharmaceuticals share price was up at $22.94.
The business noted that a new US patent was granted during the third quarter, extending US patent protections through March 2041.
Neuren Pharmaceuticals stated that trial results in Japan support a planned regulatory submission in 2027 with a potential launch in 2028 subject to regulatory approval.
